Before you start.
Do we both need Android?
Yes. Lune is Android only for now, and it works between two Android phones. An iPhone version is coming.
How much does it cost?
Seven days free, then one subscription covers you both: ₹79 a month or ₹499 a year in India. Elsewhere, Google Play shows the price for your country. Cancel anytime in Google Play.
Does my partner need to pay too?
No. After the trial, one subscription unlocks Lune for both of you.
What happens when the trial ends?
Lune pauses until one of you subscribes. Nothing is charged, since the trial never asks for a card, and nothing is deleted: subscribing brings everything back at once.
Does Lune use my location?
Lune never asks for location access and never uses GPS. A check-in says only what you tapped. Your phone’s time zone (like India Standard Time or Eastern Time) is shared with your partner so they can see your local time, and you can turn that off in Settings (Share my time).
Can Lune read our whispers?
No. Whispers are end-to-end encrypted, so only the two of you can read them. Status, mood, battery, touches, check-ins and your time zone aren’t end-to-end encrypted.
Does it use much battery?
Very little. Lune doesn’t use GPS or keep anything running in the background. Your widget refreshes only when there’s something new from your partner, plus a quick check every half hour.
We live in the same city. Is it for us?
Yes. Lune is for any two people who want to feel close through a busy day. Distance just adds a few things, like their time.
Is it only for couples?
Lune is made for couples, and a few things, like counting your time together in moons, are made with them in mind. But it connects any two people, so it works for close friends and family too.
